CanadaGAP is a food safety program developed to promote Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) for fruits and vegetables. It is a program developed in Canada that promotes Good Agricultural Practices for fruit and vegetable suppliers. The certification program, which is based on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point principles, applies to the production, packing, storage, repacking, wholesale, and brokerage of fresh fruits and vegetables. The program is benchmarked to and officially recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
