Food-Like NHPs Joint Technical Working Group: To assist CHFA in providing constructive feedback and guiding the CHFA position on various issues, we are pleased to partner with the Food Directorate, and likely NHPD, to form CHFA’s Food-Like NHP Joint Technical Working.
This group will be intentionally small at this early stage, with CHFA identifying up to six members from various Food/NHP supplier companies to work on key issues identified by both Health Canada and CHFA. CHFA will be approaching these companies shortly. We are also working with the Foods Directorate for an update to be provided on April 15th at Expo West in Vancouver.
NHP-PAC update:
The NHP Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting was held January 10th and 11th where CHFA’s Carl Carter represented the association. The PAC group made a number of recommendations to NHPD on how to move forward on several topics. CHFA continues to monitor all communications from Health Canada and is dedicated to keeping all members informed on all key regulatory issues.
