Senior Clinical SpecialistAs Senior Clinical Specialist, Edith comes to us with over 8 years of clinical medicine experience in various therapeutic areas and patient care settings. After completing her family medical internship in the United States, she pursued her passion of helping others by participating in a Medical Mission in the Caribbean, followed by Oncology Research at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in New Hampshire.Since 2015, Edith has been working with various Clinical Research Organizations in the Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical industries. She has experience with organizing, managing and executing clinical trials (phases I-III) under ICH GCP guidelines in the US and Canada.
Ashleigh Thurston, MSc, Pharm/Tox
Senior Regulatory Scientific SpecialistWelcome back! Ashleigh worked for dicentra from 2010 until 2016 when she left to focus on her young family. Ashleigh graduated from Western University with an honours Bachelor of Medical Sciences, then took her passion for science to Queen’s University where she completed a Master of Science in Pharmacology & Toxicology.In addition to her scientific experience, Ashleigh has developed a broad regulatory knowledge base by working as a consultant. Through interaction with Health Canada and by managing the Canadian regulatory portfolios of several multi-project client accounts, Ashleigh has developed expertise in the areas of foods, natural health products, over-the-counter drugs (OTCs), veterinary health products and cosmetics.
Navdeep Sandhu
Regulatory and Quality Affairs AssistantdCC welcomes Regulatory and Quality Affairs Assistant, Navdeep Sandhu! Navdeep comes with a Regulatory Affairs post graduate certification and studies in Forensic Science. With over five years of experience in retail healthcare, she also comes with fresh knowledge of the cannabis industry, including the requirements for different categories of licences under the Cannabis Act. She is excited to join the team and follow her passion in regulatory and compliance spheres.

Senior Clinical SpecialistDr. Olivia Rose ND, is a 2002 graduate of the University of Guelph where she obtained a Bachelor of Science honors degree in Nutritional and Nutraceutical Sciences. In 2006, she graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Dr. Rose has built a thriving private practice and has a special interest in digestive and immune health, infertility, weight loss, skin rejuvenation, and chronic disease.Dr. Rose is our in-house naturopathic doctor and product expert. She is registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario and serves as a board examiner for new graduates. With 12 years of clinical experience in evidenced-based naturopathic medicine, Dr. Rose’s expertise is regularly requested for television and print interviews, speaking engagements, and as a writer and consultant for online and print publications.
Sandra Clark, MSc
Regulatory and Scientific AssociateSandra has recently completed her Master of Science in Human Health and Nutritional Sciences at the University of Guelph, where she coordinated a human clinical trial focusing on the effects of lentil-containing food products on satiety and food intake in a healthy adult population. With her educational background focused on regulatory affairs in the food and natural health product (NHP) spaces, critical analysis of scientific literature, clinical research and product development skills, Sandra looks forward to applying her knowledge to the challenges of dicentra’s clients.

Matt Plickert
Regulatory and Quality Affairs AssociatedCC welcomes Matt Plickert to the team. Matt completed a post graduate degree in Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance, and has recently spent over two years working within Johnson & Johnson’s regulatory affairs department, where he familiarized himself with the workings of Health Canada and the healthcare industry.Most recently, Matt focused on licensing DIN products under Health Canada’s new plain language labeling (PLL) regulations. Through his ability to communicate and negotiate with industry peers, he was the first in the department to receive a licence under the new regulations. Matt is familiar with the challenges associated with changing regulatory landscapes and looks forward to the ever-evolving cannabis industry.
