Outbound Sales/Cold Calling Food Safety (6-Month Contract)

Position: Outbound Sales/Cold Calling for Food Safety (6-month contract)

Location: 603-7 St Thomas St., Toronto, ON


We are looking for a talented outbound sales representative who is ready to bring our business to the next level. This role will focus mainly on finding leads interested in receiving quotes for the Food Safety & Quality (SQF) Program and involves cold calling potential clients (main focus), client business referrals, or web leads. This individual needs to be results driven, a team player & a clear and strong communicator. The candidate is a professional with experience in prospecting and finding new opportunities.


• Perform outbound sales activities such as cold calling, qualifying, and lead follow-up
• Research accounts and identify key decision makers
• Convert qualified leads to quotes and direct to appropriate sales representatives for closing
• Work with supervisor to brainstorm new opportunities for business
• Track all opportunities within Salesforce
• Set, meet and exceed agreed upon sales goals & targets


• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
• 1+ year(s) experience in B2B sales, preferably within Food Safety & Quality
• BA/BS Degree with strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Cold calling experience required
• Excellent phone communications skills required
• English fluency required
• Dedicated to providing exceptional customer service
• Salesforce experience preferred
• Knowledge of Food Safety & Quality (SQF) preferred
• Workstyle characterized by high quality standards, responsibility and engagement
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team setting
• Ability to interact with a range of personalities and many levels of the organization
• Attention to and ability to execute on details
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast pace, hard deadline environment

• Adaptable to changing environment, client and project needs
• Proficient at using MS Office applications
• French and/or Spanish proficiency is a bonus
