Position Summary:

Reporting to the CEO, the Human Resources Generalist is the “go-to” person for all employee-related issues at dicentra. As such, developing and implementing the key components of HR including performance management, recruitment, training and development, and employee relations, are central to the role. People are dicentra’s most important asset, and the HR Generalist will be the one to ensure a positive and productive workplace by aligning and integrating the company’s mission, vision and strategies into our HR systems.


  • Develops and implements HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy for the dicentra Inc, dicentra LLC and Vitarock portfolio of companies.
  • Bridges management and employee relations as a liaison by addressing concerns, conflicts, grievances or other issues.
  • Manages a full-cycle recruitment, selection and onboarding process.
  • Supports current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital.
  • Develops and monitors overall HR systems, policies and procedures across the organization to implement the overall strategic vision.
  • Nurtures a positive working environment by focusing on areas like corporate culture and social engagement initiatives.
  • Oversees and manages a performance evaluation and reporting system that drives excellent performance.
  • Maintains and optimizes the company benefits program to ensure its competitiveness and relevance for team member attraction, retention and engagement.
  • Manages a competitive commission and bonus system that rewards high performers and challenges all to achieve.
  • Continually assesses training needs in order to implement and evaluate training programs.
  • Reports to management regularly and provides decision support through HR analytics and metrics.
  • Ensures legal compliance with all applicable federal, provincial and state employment law standards and safety regulations.
  • Supervises an Administrative Assistant with company-wide administrative duties.
  • Serves as an HR ambassador to the entire company, modelling a commitment to high standards of excellence.


  • 5+ years of HR generalist experience
  • Above average communication skills both oral and written
  • Above average interpersonal and relationship skills
  • University and/or college education, preferably in a discipline related to human resources with CHRP/CHRL
  • Solid knowledge of employment legislation, HR and employee relations best practices, conducting investigations and other HR disciplines
