Human Resources Generalist

Position: Human Resources Generalist
Location: 603-7 St Thomas St., Toronto, ON

 

Responsibilities
• Supports development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems for the group of companies (dicentra Inc and dicentra LLC, Vitarock, and others)
• Implements and manages recruitment strategy – job posting, selection, background checks
• Coordinates recruitment process with 3rd party recruits
• Manages full employee cycle for onboarding and offboarding, new hires, contracts, training programs, etc.
• Manages performance evaluation, improvements and appraisals
• Develop performance improvements plans
• Manages conflict resolution
• Maintain all policies compliant with current federal, provincial, and state laws
• Supports employee engagement initiatives to enhance company culture and visibility
• Coordinates Health & Safety programs
• Manages Employee Benefits Plan
• Manages payroll
• Maintains records for vacation and personal use days
• Maintains employees training records
• Organizes and manages continuing education courses and training
• Maintains library of all training courses
• Manages employees’ expenses including credit cards reconciliation
• Manages commissions and bonuses
• Other HR, Bookkeeping duties

 

Qualifications
• 5+ years of human resources generalist experience
• Excellent communication skills
• University and/or college education, preferably in a discipline related to human resources with CHRP/CHRL
• Solid knowledge of employment legislation, employee relations best practices, conducting investigations and other HR disciplines
