HACCP Consulting is a key service offered by dicentra. Food Facility Inspections are required under the proposed Food Inspection Model, set to be finalized in Spring 2012, in order to maintain a license. These requirements are governed by the Safe Foods for Canadians Act, that was enacted in November of 2012. Under this Act and Regulations importers, exporters and companies involved in inter-provincial trade would now require a license to conduct business and would require an on-site inspection from the CFIA in order to maintain that license.

Our services in HACCP Consulting include:

  • On-site Third Party Inspection (assist in preparing for CFIA Inspection)
  • Document and record review
  • Recall reporting
  • Development of HACCP plans and Preventative Control Plans
  • Assist in the development of Monitoring and Verification Procedures
  • Health Hazard Evaluations
  • Completion of licensing form
  • Completing Notifications or Amendments to Health Canada
  • Prepare responses to Corrective Action Requests
  • Liaise with CFIA on company’s behalf

dicentra has experienced auditors that can complete an inspection of your facilities to ensure that you are in compliance with the regulations prior to your on-site audit from the CFIA.
